Rangeland Quality Meats was formed in late 2010, when the Hughes and Dobbin families combined their passions for Australian beef in order to produce a premium beef product supplied directly to the Australian public. Both families have a long association with producing food/meat, and the decision to begin a meat marketing company seemed like a natural progression. Our aim is to provide a 'paddock to plate' experience, with a breeding and raising philosophy that produces premium, naturally grown beef.
WOOMBYE CHEESE COMPANY
Woombye Cheese Company are passionate producers of fresh, handcrafted cheese made in the Sunshine Coast Hinterland. Started by Graeme and Karen Paynter as an escape from corporate life, Woombye Cheese Company has grown significantly as customers from all over Australia support and share their passion for handmade, artisan cheeses. Since their first batch in 2013, the range has grown to include Camembert, Triple Cream Brie, Blackall Blue, Truffle Triple Cream Brie, Blackall Gold (a delicious washed rind cheese), Marinated Persian Feta and Vintage Cheddar; some of which can be found on the menus of some of Australia’s top restaurants.
TAMBORINE MOUNTAIN EGGS
Tamborine Mountain Free Range Eggs was established in 2014 with the want to provide quality, fresh and genuine free range eggs to the local community and beyond. Don't be fooled by a label on an egg carton claiming to be free range! Our farm has adopted the concept of true pasture raised hens. We run small flocks that are never locked up (not even at night) and are protected 24/7 by electric netting, a highly protective Mareema guard dog (nothing gets past these guys) and the constant watching eyes of our family of farmers. The hens are housed in movable caravans surrounded by open pastures to eat, scratch around for insects and grubs, flap there wings and run about as all chickens should. When they are finished in an area, the hen house is hooked up to the back of the ute and moved on to the next area, providing new fresh terrain to start the cycle all over again. They have 24 hour access to a specially formulated feed that has been designed for the high energy hen and contains absolutely no synthetic egg yolk colourings that most farms use today. The end result is a tasty, creamy egg produced by the happiest hens in the district! Our eggs are also ridiculously fresh, normally being delivered to our special list of restaurants, local Bed and Breakfasts and stockists within two days of lay.
GERNS CONTINENTAL SMALLGOODS
Founded in 1895, and based in Geebung, Brisbane, Gerns Continental Smallgoods has the honour of being the oldest producer of hams and smallgoods in Australia. The Gerns family has always utilised the traditional methods of production for its extensive range of products, coupled with modern and innovative techniques to ensure the highest quality and standards are maintained. The Gerns famous gluten free ‘Ham off the bone’ is a classic example of such innovation and is marketed in retail and food service outlets across Australia. Gerns prides itself on using only Australian meat products in their entire range. A recent merger with Chriberg Gourmet Smallgoods; a company established in Germany in the 1930’s, brings even more expertise to the company as well as an exciting and delicious new line of products. The Chriberg range is produced using traditional German recipes and processes dating back generations, with a strong emphasis and focus on the smoking and drying process. Gerns and its staff are proud to carry on the family legacy as one of Australia’s premium ham, bacon and smallgoods manufacturers.
